About the event

Sanctuary Farm, in partnership with the American Heart Association’s EmPOWERED to Serve initiative, is offering a six-part series of health lessons taught by Makayla Brown. These sessions are designed to motivate and educate communities on creating a culture of health through practical, science-based guidance in two key areas: health education and community advocacy. Topics include controlling blood pressure, eating smart, and understanding the connection between salt and cardiovascular disease. Classes take place on Fridays from September 19th to October 24th, 1:00–2:00 PM, at 1909 N 24th Street.
