TOP MOMENTS
Here are a few highlights from our first year in 1909 North:
-
We held multiple cohorts of our Teens Can Cook program, imparting critical culinary, job training, and conflict resolution skills to local teens
-
We served as the site for the Community Scholars Program, which brings together neighborhood teens and students from Malvern Prep in order to learn about neighborhood history, dive into food and climate justice issues, and work together at the produce stand and in our farm plots.
-
We held dozens of classes and series on topics ranging from African Diasporic foods, sewing, beekeeping, gardening, DIY apothecary, nutrition, and many more!
-
We were able to keep our therapeutic gardening program for vets and persons experiencing behavioral health challenges going year round!
