About the event
In this introduction to beekeeping workshop, you will learn the basics of bee biology, how to get started with your own hive, equipment needed, hive management throughout the seasons, and common pests and diseases and how to treat/prevent them. This program is geared toward those with no experience who are considering a hobby in beekeeping or those with little experience who want to learn more.
Did you know that Cranaleith has a beehive?! A visit to Cranaleith’s hive will occur during the program weather permitting.
A manual is included in this program. Lunch will also be provided.
